We are looking for a Character Artist who is passionate about creating high-quality, realistic characters and is eager to join us in our desire to push quality to the next level. You will report to the Lead Character Artist

As a Character Artist, you will :

  • Sculpt high-resolution characters
  • Model to the project's quality standard with minimal guidance
  • Create clean game topology, UV's and textures
  • Work with other departments to ensure the Character art meets the game design needs
  • Create visual targets and look development briefs for a subset of the character content
  • Work with Art Director to enhance high visual quality of character models
  • Communicate the visual design of the characters through art specifications, style guides, and reference material
  • Contribute to the documentation of project workflows and processes

Who you are:

  • Passion for collaboration with other artists, designers, and programmers
  • Knowledge of anatomy and fundamental art skills
  • Proficient in Maya or similar 3D modeling software
  • Sculpting skills using ZBrush
  • Knowledge of PBR texture/material workflows
  • Experience with Marvelous Designer and clothing creation
  • Experience with real-time hair creation and high-res grooming
  • Proficiency in hard surface modeling
  • Experience with Substance Painter or Mari
  • Understanding of rigging and skinning
  • Knowledge of FACS based facial blendshape creation is a plus
  • Experience working with a game engine is a plus
