Codemasters Cheshire are currently looking for a Producer to join the team as they look ahead to their next project having delivered Dirt 5, the racing experience, that welcomed in the next generation of consoles.

Perhaps you are an experienced Producer looking for your next challenge within the AAA dev space? Or you’re looking to make the transition from the mobile games’ world into console game development? If you have proven production experience within the games industry, then we want to hear from you!

Based at our stunning, refurbished studio in Cheshire, near to both Liverpool and Manchester, you will be working closely with the dev team in an internal production capacity. Under the guidance of the Development Director and with support from the production team, you will help handle production of the studios’ next key project – which promises to be the most ambitious and biggest game that Codemasters has made in over a decade!

This is a production-oriented rather than a creative role and as such will require experience of backlog management and running schedules – tasking, logging work, monitoring, capacity planning and tracking/measuring progress against milestones. We’re looking for a strong communicator that can engage with many teams and individuals and strong Jira and data management skills would be great to see also. Likewise, if you have any technical knowledge, such as an interest in coding, that would be a real advantage as you can truly engage with our programmers in overcoming any potential issues for example.

Working in a passionate close-knit team you will deliver AAA racing games within a studio that will value and recognise your contributions. If you’ve already proven your credentials through Certified PM techniques such as Scrum this is good to know, but it’s your contribution to the winning team that counts. Key responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Experience of a full development lifecycle (pre-production through to release) on at least 1 title
  • Direct management of development (internal production)
  • Experience of project managing multiple development disciplines
  • Strong understanding of Agile PM techniques
  • Experience of different PM software (e.g. Jira, Hansoft, Trello)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Ability to work unsupervised to complete tasks assigned to you
  • Good presentation skills
