Working in a passionate and close-knit team that ensures your voice doesn't get lost in the crowd, you will deliver 'AAA' racing games within a studio that will value and recognise your contributions.

Software physics engineers manage the full simulation of physical bodies within the game world. This includes modelling of complex vehicle drive trains, tyre friction, aerodynamics, rigid body dynamics, collision detection, surface deformation and fracture. They work with the vehicle handling team to produce accurate simulations of vehicle characteristics.

Key Experience:

  • C++ knowledge
  • Multiple completed game projects - 2 game dev cycles or more
  • Computer architecture knowledge
  • Cross platform and console experience
  • Use of debugging and profiling tools
  • Pure and applied maths
  • Rigid body dynamics, forward and inverse kinematics
  • Collision detection

Desirable Experience:

  • A degree in a relevant subject (Maths or Physics)
  • Scrum and agile processes
  • Friction modelling
  • Dynamics solvers (LCP, MCP, impulse based)
  • Vehicle dynamics
