Position Title: Product Manager II

The EA Create Capture team comprises industry-leading experts responsible for motion and performance capture, 3D body and facial scanning, data processing, and virtual production. You will have strong technical product experience within the entertainment motion capture industry and Virtual Production.

As a Product Manager, you will help define, market and upkeep our tech and tools portfolio. You will be helping the team in developing the feature road map, designing new workflows, integrating components and keeping up with the latest technology in the market for motion capture and virtual production. This is a strategic, metrics-driven role focusing on the constant delivery of value through our tools and technology for the business of Capture and EA Create. You will report to the Senior Development Director that manages the Capture Development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring experience, direction and measurable performance to the tools and tech development process.
  • Work with the Technical Art Directors in Capture Production and Capture Dev to plan and execute a product roadmap to meet goals through a regular development cycle. Measure performance and adjust.
  • Research and Develop Virtual Production solutions for Frostbite and Unreal Engine
  • Implement and test solutions on and off stage
  • Create and maintain technical documents, which include setup, usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance guides.
  • Help lead and develop Create’s real-time virtual production toolset in alignment with the production vision.
  • Help with the technical development and support of the systems and infrastructure for Create Capture (Motion Capture, Scanning and Virtual Production).
  • Develop hardware and software specifications that fulfil Production stakeholder’s requests and regularly present these specifications and associated development timeline to the stakeholders or to execs for funding approval where applicable.


Qualifications:

  • A passionate professional that excels at the intersection between art and technology.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in the game development or VFX industry.
  • Experience using software to build dashboards and produce insights. 
  • Experience in a B2C product management environment where your consumer is the priority.
  • At least three years of experience using standard digital content creation applications (Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Motionbuilder, etc.).
  • Game Engine visual scripting experience (Unreal Blueprints, Frostbite scripting).
  • Experience with version control systems (Perforce, Git, etc.)
  • You should be able to communicate effectively through a variety of media, including Microsoft Office Programs, Slack and diagrams such as those built-in Miro

 

Bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of the entire character creation pipeline for high-end game characters
  • Knowledge of other 3D game engines and editors
  • Experience with 4D facial scanning
  • Experience with mobile phone-based head scanning solutions
