Senior Front-end Web Developer (12-month contract)
Frostbite is EA's state-of-the-art multi-platform game development engine. Our global team empowers game creators to shape the future of gaming by developing creative engine features and outstanding tools. We are honored to have thousands of game developers all over the world using Frostbite to create some of the most amazing games and player experiences in the industry.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Front-end Web Developer with 5+ years experience. As a Front-end Developer for Frostbite, you will be based in Melbourne but connected to and supported by our teams around the globe. You will work in a team who's primary focus will be the Frostbite Learn; a collection of efforts to make learning Frostbite faster and easier. You will report to the Engineering Manager of the UX Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate a front-end documentation web app with a headless CMS (Contentful)
- Work with user experience (UX) team, product owners and customers to build new features
- Work with Documentation and Design specialists to implement features for the documentation web app
- Establish and write unit testing processes
- Maintain Search and Analytics for the web app
Qualifications
- HTML, CSS & JavaScript experience
- Gatsby, React and GraphQL experience
- SASS or SCSS experience
- Exposure to search frameworks such as Algolia, Google Custom Search or similar
- Experience developing front-ends based on Figma designs
- Experience with Google Analytics (Tagging and Events)
Desirable Experience
- Contentful or other headless CMS experience
- Azure experience
