External Description:

Software Engineer III - Development Release Engineering                                     

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:                                     

• 5+ year Software development experience
• Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
• Experience with CI/CD tools Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Bamboo
• Experience with revision control systems (e.g. Git) administration and version-control concepts including branching and integrations
• Knowledge in one or more of the following: C#, C++, Python, Perl, Java, XML
• Experience writing, debugging and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures in MS SQL or similar SQL based database server
• Knowledge of Configuration Management and CM best practices
• Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in highly complex systems including network, OS or hardware
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ability to self-manage and prioritize work effectively within deadlines
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions
• Excellent documentation skills

DESIRED:                                         

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience
• Knowledge of containers, Chef/Puppet, Elastic
• Experience with distributed build systems
• Experience with large-scale, high-availability, high-throughput automation systems
