We are currently hiring for the IT team who supports game development franchise Apex Legends, Battlefield, Battlefield Mobile, Star Wars™, and more. We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer who is experienced managing and supporting IT services and who would be excited to be working at the greatest game company in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization environment.
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
  • Monitoring, analytics, and reporting of IT Infrastructure
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Provides support with escalated help desk requests.
  • Plans ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth
  • Automated system installation, package management, software configuration management
  • Installation, configuration and maintaining of common monitoring tools (Telgraf, InfluxDB, Grafana, Prometheus, logging and reporting services
  • Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of system administration experience supporting Windows Services and Linux Systems
  • Minimum 5 years VMware experience building, deploying, and providing operational support
  • Broad experience supporting and maintaining common Window and Linux applications and services,
  • Subject matter expertise of Microsoft Windows Directory services, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NFS, Kerberos, SNMP, SSH, HTTP/S, and NTP
  • Experience with common version control software such as Git, CVS, SVN, or Perforce
  • Experience with common game development tools. Perforce, Jenkins, Incredibuild, SN-DBS, Jira, Confluence,
  • Knowledge and experience with NFS and NAS storage appliances (NetApp preferred)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of working with and maintaining configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef
  • Experience with shell scripting languages
  • Understanding of networking layer 1-7
  • Strong ability to collaborate and be a strong team member

  • Sufficient technical depth to communicate with business and other internal groups at a peer level
  • Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision
  • Be confident and actively participating in team support by proposing and implementing solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Competent in productivity applications; spreadsheets, Jira, Confluence
  • Highly self-motivated; Detail Oriented and resourceful

Education & Experience

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
