Position Title: DevOps Engineer II

Do you have a passion for DevOps technologies? If so you are in the right place. We, the EA SPORTS DevOps team, are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us. You will be part of a global team contributing to the best sports games on the market (NHL, FIFA, UFC - just to name a few fan favorites).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Use industry-standard CI/CD solutions (e.g. Jenkins, XL Release / Deploy) and develop tools (e.g. in Python) to build pipelines that automate common operational tasks
  • Learn new technologies and contribute to migration projects when these are being introduced (e.g. Cloud)
  • Work in a follow the sun model to support the amazing EA SPORTS games (troubleshoot game server infrastructure at various layers, including application, network, load balancing, OS, and application)

Your Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps engineer (or similar) role
  • Experience with Infrastructure Automation (e.g. Docker, Chef, or Ansible) and willingness to learn new ones
  • Experience in using at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript and knowledge of version control systems such as GIT
  • Knowledge in Linux administration and networking (e.g. load balancing, routing principles)
  • Knowledge of industry-standard CI/CD tools to build pipelines that automate common operational tasks (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with public cloud hosting services with an API-oriented approach to programmatically manage resources
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence in an Agile setup
