Position Title: Advanced Analyst

External Description:

Full Circle is hiring an Advanced Senior Data Analyst in Vancouver as part of our Studio Data, and Insights (SDI) team. Reporting to an Analytics Manager, you will be part of an analytics team that provides impactful analysis with relevant takeaways for our studio partners.

What a Advanced Senior Data Analyst does at Full Circle:

Our team strives to be the voice of the player by providing insights from a rich landscape of gameplay data. As an Advanced Senior Data Analyst, you will oversee the design and implementation of major analytical projects such as: developing data model and dashboarding suite, feature analysis, onboarding analysis, player segmentation, retention modeling, predictive modelling and more.

You will share your findings directly with the development team, ranging from 1:1 chats up to studio-wide presentations. Many different disciplines will rely on you as a trusted source of information, including Product Management, Game Design, Engineering, Studio Executives, Brand Management, Marketing, and Finance. As part of working with a diverse group of partners, you will gain exposure to different perspectives inside the gaming industry.

As a team of analysts and researchers, we understand how important learning and growth are. In addition to working with our studio partners at Full Circle, you will have opportunities to collaborate and share with other data experts among the larger data analytics community at EA.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide recommendations on solutions to analytics needs using player data from multiple sources.
  • Navigate ambiguous problems, determine causes and constraints, translate qualitative/quantitative data into applicable insight, and create recommendations / outcomes.
  • Organize and lead sessions to understand and capture our processes, user workflows, user stories, data models, pain points and feedback from internal partners.
  • Mentor more junior analysts throughout the analytics process through employing best practices such as coding standards, code reviews and peer reviews to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience in an analytical role working performing quantitative analysis with big data.
  • 3+ years experience managing your deliverables and producing high quality results, building analysis delivery plans with clear deliverables, ownership, and communication plans 
  • A masters degree or Ph.D in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics)
  • Proficient in SQL and ability to extract data from large data sources with differing structures.
  • Proficiency with a statistical analysis tool (such as R or Python) to perform analysis.
  • Experience defining Goals, their associated reporting, and communicating their interpretation to the business.
  • Experience leading and coaching presentations to wide audience of diverse skillsets, including senior management.

Considered a Plus:

  • Experience with Google Big Query and Google Cloud Platform;
  • Familiarity with version control and reproducible research best practices;
  • Experience working with Mobile or HD data and defining telemetry schema;
  • Experience developing dashboards and data models within Looker.
  • Passion for playing and thinking about games.
