Position Title: Quality Designer I

This QD role is designed for the EA Accessibility team. You will require you to provide oversight of our quality strategies and determine best practices for our analyst family together with our leadership team.

You will ensure the team is focused on providing the strongest end-to-end coverage and experience for EA's players, including those with disabilities -- helping EA accomplish its commitment to putting Players First.

You will identify and quantifying accessibility features and issues across multiple franchises, reporting findings to game team QDs and Accessibility Team partners. It requires analyzing player risks, providing recommendations to address concerns, and identifying opportunities for accessibility improvement. You will work with Accessibility Team BAs and UXR members on identifying best practices to be included in the Signature Player Experience and driving best practices to franchise teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Build working relationships with senior members of the development, production and design teams by increasing a higher quality player experience through tasks such as feature planning, analyzing internal data/player data, and feature/design reviews.
  • Propose and provide solutions to problems from senior management.
  • Review and recommend adjustments of own domain plans end-to-end, including their dependencies throughout the project lifecycle and input into live services
  • Contribute to existing plans, be knowledgeable of the quality strategy and work with project team members or partners to guide existing processes transformation
  • Connect with partners to influence best practices, decisions, or immediate change, based on researched trends and facts.
  • Highlights applicable insights related to oversee domain, supported through clear data, dependencies or risks by partnering with peers or other domain areas
  • Understand current process and workflow – drive improvements and knowledge sharing across the QV teams.
  • Effectively report progress and status through regular email or face-to-face communication with appropriate managers and other partners.
  • Work with console manufacture reps – communicate design/feature implementation.
  • Mentor/coaching analysts and other individual contributors.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of work experience – entertainment software; game development, film etc.
  • A passion for games with a player first mentality.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven product design.
  • Experience working in a live service development model (i.e. sprints, continual releases, content deployments, etc.)
  • Experience managing contract AQD positions.
  • Passion for improving the player experience for everyone, including those with disabilities.
