As Craft Manager, your job is to build a strong team within DICE Technology Craft. You will lead your team, creating a safe environment that promotes team work and growth opportunities. To each member of your team, you are the coach and guide in their career. You manage performance and you are responsible for finding and hiring new team members.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Craft Director, you will be part of the DICE Technology Leadership team.
• People Manager of Software Engineers – You will support and coach your team in 1-to-1 in their daily work, help them establish goals and development plans together with the Technical Directors and Lead Engineers.
• Working within the Leadership team you will be part of establishing a clear vision for the future and empower individuals to guide said vision forward.
• Apply a servant leadership mindset, removing barriers faced in daily activities
• You will drive staffing and recruitment for our project teams, while taking long-term goals and career development into consideration to maximize output and individual employee growth.
• Promote knowledge-sharing and learning
• Work across the organization together with peer Craft Managers to improve our processes and ways of working
• Promote an inclusive working environment in your teams

Experience

• Experience in a formal leadership role in a Technical Organization.
• Proven experience growing a Software Engineering team through coaching and mentoring.
• Agile development, DevOps, scrum, or similar
• A background in Software Engineering or within the games industry is desirable
