The EA Create Tools and Technology and Capture Development Teams are looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. The Challenge Ahead:
EA Create Tools and Technology Team is looking for people to help us create and maintain a state-of-the-art resource management system for use across our creative teams. With locations and staff across the globe in many different teams and titles our challenge is to create a system that fulfills all their requirements.
As an IT Generalist, your job will be to understand the use cases, propose solutions, and build technologies that help our partner teams be more efficient in all aspects of resource management; all with an eye towards common, scalable solutions that work across all groups and titles.


Daily you will ...
· Assess current landscape and tools
· Recommend changes/upgrades
· Gather requirements
· Scripting, database admin, organization and setup

Who you are:
· You have 5 or more years of experience in a related technical field
· You have these technical skills
o Fluent in at least one scripting language (for example Python, Powershell)
o Extremely comfortable with Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
o Familiar with automation best practices
o Familiar with Agile practices
o Assess and translate requirements into features and break those tasks down
o Comfortable designing and populating a small relational database
o Comfortable scripting against databases
o Working knowledge of database administration
o Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and professional experience
o Ability to understand and improve workflow to enhance team productivity
o Experience with version control software (Perforce, Git)
· You have these soft skills
o Excel at resolving technical challenges and limitations.
o Effective at communicating initiatives and ideas
o Ability to direct others
o Willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems
o Effective at delivering to project goals and schedules

Bonus if you have:
· Experience with writing SQL queries
· Experience with build systems and concepts (e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins)
· Experience with Shotgun API
· Experience with object-oriented programming
· Exposure to unit testing frameworks (e.g. Python unittest, NUnit)
· Web development experience
· Experience with Perforce API Scripting
