Position Title: Sr Experience Designer

External Description:

(Location: Vancouver, Montreal, Orlando, Austin, Los Angeles, but role could be open to other Canadian or US locations for the right candidate.)

The EA Create Tools and Technology is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Challenge Ahead:

As a Senior Experience Designer, you will enhance our asset management tool used across EA studios around the world to improve workflows, and promote collaboration. Using different design skills such as user interviews, journey mapping, prototyping, and UI design, you'll promote our (customers) to (benefits to the users or business). You will report to a Development Directors but work with a cross discipline team to create the next generation of our product. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research, competitive analysis and gather feedback into user centered and design goals.
  • Discovery with customers to identify new problems or to validate the current problems.
  • Interview/Research Synthesis to identify themes for problem/solution space.
  • Create experience and user journey maps, wireframes, low/high fidelity prototypes to communicate design intent, while maintaining user-centered design principles at the forefront.
  • Solicit feedback in a graceful, constructive manner, with suggestions and solutions for improvement to both process and project.
  • Work with our agile development teams to validate feasibility of the design/prototype and guide them throughout the development cycle.

Qualifications:

  • A portfolio demonstrating user-centered designs across multiple digital products. Creating research and data informed designs that meet player needs and their motivations.
  • 6+ years of experience as a UX designer, experience designer, product designer, or interaction designer.
  • An understanding of user research methodologies and user data analysis with a UX design toolkit for different stages of development (journey mapping, empathy maps, archetypes, user scenarios, site maps, flows, wireframes, and prototypes)
  • Experience using modern design software and user centered design methods.
  • Experience working with many partners from different disciplines and teams.

Bonus if you have:

  • Bonus points if your research and visual design skills are pretty solid.
  • Experience or Passion with e-Commerce
  • Experience in DAM systems
