Interested in joining our team? At EA Madrid - where passion for sports is only matched by the talent on the ground - we are looking for passionate Software Engineers, along with other disciplines, to play an essential part in developing the next instalments of our PGA Tour franchise. 
 
We are offering a 6-month internship with potential extensions through an internship agreement with an University/Studies Centre.
 
The Challenge Ahead:
Video Game programming is intellectually demanding. Our software engineers are faced with daily challenges that involve physics (from collision detection to complex physical reactions), advanced rendering techniques (from complex 3D math to hardware shading), artificial intelligence (from path finding to scripting), optimizations (from complex algorithms to hardware specific changes) and more.
 
This internship position will be supporting the online team and other areas of the project along with creating and improving tools that will help with the development of the game.
 
Technical Qualifications
  • C++ is a must have.
  • Basic knowledge in some of the following areas: CPU & GPU architecture, tool development and general game engine architecture
  • Knowledge about Scripting languages.
  • Experience coding in C#.
  • Demonstrate coding and debugging skills.
  • Basic knowledge in Online development; database understanding and client-server communication
The next Intern also needs:
  • Experience with good software engineering practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good Mathematics skills are necessary
  • You will work with others but also on your own depending the projects.
  • You will work with us in tight and changing project requirements and continuous feedback
  • You will need to be process-driven, looking for new platforms, technologies or game areas to implement in the workflow.
  • You should have completed personal game or domain expertise projects independent of school
  • And of course - enjoys working (and playing!) in a dynamic environment
