Position Title: Experience Designer II

Experience Designer

The Role:
EA is looking for an accomplished experience designer responsible for shaping and creating a multi-platform design system serving a range of digital products. Experience designers for the design system will shape our design language across multiple platforms, craft and maintain outstanding reusable components, develop the pattern and experience guidance used to inform feature development in our digital products, and contribute documentation to the design system. You will work closely with the teams building our digital products that span across the entire EA player network – including PC desktop, mobile, and console - ensuring the design system aids them in making the highest quality designs possible.
 
A sample of what to expect:
  • Design accessible, cohesive, and reusable components that empower product designers to build cohesive UIs, powerful features, and rewarding experiences
  • Create detailed visual and interaction specifications allowing our developers to build pixel perfect, polished, design system components across all supported implementations and contexts of the design system
  • Create design components, documentation, and systems specifications with an eye toward accuracy and completeness
  • Provide regular feedback to other designers with the systems design lens
  • Collect feedback from product designers, the development team, and design management to continually tune and refine the design system

You are experienced at:

  • Conducting research on the current design best practices and applying them to build scalable, accessible, user interface controls and UX documentation
  • Working within system constraints to provide high-quality components and patterns used ensure consistency throughout product(s) experiences
  • Staying up-to-date with current product best practices for maintaining and operating a design system
  • Collaborating. You know how to communicate well with team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years professional user experience design practice
  • Experience in visual design principles and tools

Bonus Points:

  • Experience designing for products or systems spanning multiple platforms like desktop, web, and mobile
  • Experience rapidly creating high fidelity design prototypes
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript
