Responsibilities:

In this role at EA, we want to provide the best game creation experience for anyone in the world interested in building games, at any time no matter where they are! We want to achieve the most enjoyable game creation experience possible.

You will report to the Director of Product, Game Creation IT and participate in building the next generation of capabilities of how EA can meet the needs of creators worldwide. You will identify impactful opportunities and work with delivery teams to make solutions come to life!

Work on product vision, goals and roadmap to correctly solve the right problems

  • Uncover underlying studio developers' needs by understanding their perspectives and pain points (focusing on the "why")
  • to make the case for change and decide what problems to invest in
  • Steer collaborators away from solutions and help them focus on the problems instead
  • Work with team members to determine goals that bring cohesive experiences
  • You will determine product roadmap that aligns with EA's complex product ecosystem, considering industry trends, vendor marketspace, and organizational priorities

Determine what capabilities and delivery approach will have the biggest return on investment

  • Transform specific customer requests into prioritized capabilities that solve the underlying need
  • Establish and communicate customer journey, process maps, and detailed user stories/requirements
  • Partner with engineering, UX, and vendors to assess build vs. buy options, focused on delivering simple and scalable solutions with a reasonable time to value
  • Identify trade-offs and fit gap analysis to create product decisions and set team member expectations

Manage delivery cycle to take ideas from concept to implementation

  • Refine requirements based on prototyping, hands-on testing, and iterative feedback, being a bridge between customer desires and technical realities
  • Partner with product managers on managing releases from feature design, integrations, data migration, cutover from legacy applications, to stabilization and support
  • Manage sprint plans, issues, and decisions, anticipating risk and ensuring focus stays on maximizing value within the timeline and resource constraints
  • Manage resource allocation, budget and spend
  • Track and communicate progress while managing user/partner/leadership expectations

Manage change and continuously improve product to adapt to changing customer needs

  • Organize collaboration with game creators on process, people and policy changes to enhance product changes
  • Build awareness, excitement and knowledge of new features through communication, training material creation and facilitation of training sessions
  • Solicit feedback and analyze data to constantly learn and evolve product and approach
  • Bridge decisions, issues and focus of different products to ensure product line as a whole is delivering a user experience optimizing resources

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written, storytelling and to convey ideas and manage conflict including:
  • Promote small and large meetings/workshops
  • Create written deliverables (presentations, requirement documentation, emails) for primary team, partners and executives
  • Communicate all product capabilities
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Expertise needed:
  • An understanding of cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure) and development solutions that they can ensure
  • An understanding how to measure product health against various metrics
  • Review and improve product experience by reviewing customer success
  • and desire to create delightful technical experiences for our game teams
  • Experience working with direction from other senior product managers
  • Work in a complex problems
  • Anticipate potential issues with an ability to improve creative solutions
  • Be able to adapt to changing business models and organization structures
