Position Title: Software Engineer III

EA Sacramento is home to Capital Games, a mobile game studio located in Midtown Sacramento, downtown Sacramento’s premier neighborhood. We are a close-knit group of passionate gamers, passionate about the creation of genre-defining mobile RPG games, and the live services necessary to support them. We're looking for an engineer to join the team behind Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, one of EA’s most successful games. With a large-scale mobile game, we’re pushing the boundaries on every front so you’ll get a chance to stretch beyond your comfort zone while you contribute. Our team culture is collaborative and motivated and we expect everyone to approach development with a Player First perspective.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience
  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Front-end web development experience with backbone/react or similar frameworks
  • Mobile experience with Unity, iOS, and/or Android development
  • Proficiency in C# and/or C++
  • Experience with object-oriented programming

Assets

  • 3+ Unity development experience
  • Experience collaborating with design, art, and other key development disciplines
  • Proficient in owning technical plans, roadmaps, including implementations
  • Background using metrics and analytics to determine quality or priority
  • Familiar with profiling, optimizing, and debugging scalable data systems
  • Demonstrate dependability and commitment to projects/tasks
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
  • Design, develop, and run a fast, massively scalable, highly available game service from conception to delivery to live service operations
