Corporate AccountingCorporate accounting’s mission is to create shareholder value through integrity, leadership and business partnership. The department’s primary responsibility is to prepare and report the worldwide consolidated financial statements to senior management and to shareholders through press releases and earnings calls. Furthermore, responsibilities include: accounting consultation to internal partners, assisting with acquisitions, system improvements and other special projects.
The Challenge Ahead: The Controlling team supports statutory compliance and local and US GAAP reporting for local legal entities in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Sweden and Finland. Important collaborators to the group include FP&A teams, Finance shared services and non-Finance partners involved in the sale and distribution of packaged goods, studio development, and corporate activities. The main objective of the group is to provide accurate financial reporting, as needed by local GAAP or SEC compliance (US GAAP). You will support general ledger management, financial close and reporting for entities across the European region, including in the Nordics, UK, Ireland and Germany as part of resource sharing and pooling for the hub. As a Senior Accountant, you will have a broad range of responsibilities directly and indirectly related to the monthly, quarterly and year end close processes.
