We are the IT team who supports AAA game development in a highly collaborative environment at our Los Angeles studios; Respawn Entertainment, DICE LA, EALA Mobile, and Industrial Toys. at Electronic Arts (EA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Perforce / Helix Core source control management application for our Los Angeles based studios
  • Partner with studio and IT teams in source control product life cycle - end-to-end design, implementation, operations and customer success – for Perforce / Helix for EA studios including DICE LA, iToys and Respawn
  • Responsible for the deployment and support of Perforce Edge and Proxy servers supporting remote and 3rd party partners
  • Responsible for continuous service improvement of support and administrative actions related to the installation and maintenance of Perforce / Helix systems
  • Responsible for integration with monitoring, analytics, reporting and telemetry services. Including requirements definitions based on customer input
  • Participate in application app architecture, design and support of build and development support tools like Jenkins, DBS Nija, Incredibuild, Swarm, including custom built internal tooling
  • Proactive engagement, training and mentorship with members from IT, development, build/release, and QA teams to drive community support of Perforce / Helix service
  • Work closely with the game teams to ensure their needs are captured and requirements are being met
  • Leverages cloud service where appropriate to support strategy of development, build & release, and engagement with 3rd party partners
  • Participation with EAIT’s SCM product team to influence roadmaps which align to requirements, strategy and future ask of the studio teams

 

Job qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of source control management experience including advanced concepts like branching strategies and developer workflows
  • 7+ years deep subject matter expertise with Linux administration and scripting
  • 5+ years of experience with developing automated build pipelines, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
  •  3+ years of experience with virtualization and cloud platforms (e.g. VMware, Azure, GCP, or AWS);
  • Experience in database development and support is preferred
  • Experience with one or more of the following: PowerShell, Python, C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, REST API, jQuery
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as JIRA, GIT, Artifactory, Ansible or similar

 

Additional requirements

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of CI and experience with solutions like Jenkins, Swarm, artifactory, etc.
  • Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into game development solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
  • Experience developing automation solutions using tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform is preferred
  • Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with DevOps, including automation experience, cloud computing and configuration as code is a plus
