External Description:

EA is seeking a Broadcast Business Specialist

In this position, you will work with all of our Producers to streamline and track our finances in accordance with company policies.  You will update and track the Broadcast budget, working across multiple titles in coordination with producers and finance partners.  You will also work with the Broadcast team to identify any gaps in the Legal or Operational process to strengthen production contracts and reporting. The ideal candidate understands both production and corporate budgeting and can work to connect the dots between the two.

This is a 12-month contract position.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the EA Finance team and Production Coordinators to reconcile broadcast budgets with department accruals. Responsible for the accuracy of quarterly estimates.
  • The central point of contact for Finance partner to answer questions and resolve any issues.
  • Forecast and track CapEx and OpEx for Broadcast equipment purchases.
  • Track, monitor, and report budget status to stakeholders.
  • Analyze performance trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Identify Finance and Operations based software that can increase efficiency.
  • Manage all central purchasing needs for production-related expenses.
  • Work with the Legal team to identify and implement standardized language related to production deliverables in vendor agreements and releases.
  • Support efforts for process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years experience in a broad accounting or finance role
  • In-depth knowledge of production budgets and corporate finance budgets
  • Strong technical skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google sheets, and production accounting software
  • Experience working with production contracts a plus
  • Exceptional communication, creative, and organizational skills
  • Work well in a team, as well as on your own
  • Be able to juggle multiple projects at once
