Position Title: Software Engineer III

External Description:

As such, we are dedicated to providing everyone the chance to express themselves and be their very best with a common cause.

Role Overview

We are looking for an engineer with interest and experience in game AI. You keep up-to-date with what is happening in the field of game AI, academic AI and computer games in general. When it comes to your technical skills we believe you have experience developing and shipping games, working on the development of AI on those titles. Experience creating FPS single player experiences is a possible background you may have, but we are open to you having a different set of experiences as long as you are passionate about applying your skills to making AI in future DICE games the best it can be.

Each team member is part of building the team. You are an open and curious engineer and you get a kick out of working closely with your team leader and more junior team members. You would report to the engineering manager of the gameplay team. You enjoy getting designer feedback and seeing your features being the building blocks of the best games in the world.

Desired Skills

  • Experience implementing AI in different ways, for instance through behavior trees, utility systems or planning.
  • Experience: 3+ years of games industry (or other relevant) experience, shipped at least 1 title working within the field of game AI.
  • Knowledge of the different parts that make up game AI and how these parts relate to academic AI.
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • C++ knowledge, scalable data-driven design.
  • Interest/experience creating reusable, modular AI systems.
