The Next Great DICE LA Software Engineer in Test Needs

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will report to our Technical Director. You will need in-depth understanding of the development life cycle of AAA titles from concept to project sunset. You will need to have experience in multiple programming languages and adapt to new ones.

You will build and support tools that enhance both development workflows and the QA verification processes. A sense of automation and efficiency is required to help identify workflows that can be improved. This will require you to work with both the Development team and the QA organization.

As a part of DICE LA you will need a collaborative mindset working with both our local studio and other teams around the globe. You will promote knowledge sharing both internally and outside of the studio. Building tools that can last for years and contribute to the company as a whole, is what you’ll do.


Required:

  • Experience with SCM tools (Perforce, Git).
  • Experience with the scripting language Python.
  • Familiarity with C#.
  • Familiarity with Angular/JavaScript.
  • Experience with visual scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of SQL or MySQL.
  • Experience with use of build management tools, e.g., Jenkins.
  • Part of your job responsibility is the ability to test, debug, and extend other Software Engineer's code competently.
  • Competent in object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices.
  • Understanding of memory management, multiple processor use, and runtime optimization.
  • You will evaluate and improve how to improve product quality and how we work together.
  • You will apply new concepts, principles, and solutions quickly.


Desired:

  • 2+ years of QA Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • Familiarity in C++.
  • Familiarity with these scripting languages (Pearl, Lua, and Powershell).
  • Development Experience with current generation Microsoft and Sony platforms
  • Statistical analysis practical experience
  • Strong math skills including trigonometry, calculus, and linear algebra.
