Position Title: Senior Project Manager

We want you to join us! We’re hiring a Project Manager. Project Managers are on the PMO Team and report to the PMO Director. You will plan and manage projects to provide solutions and services that EA’s Customer Experience needs. You will make sure that we complete project deliverables on time, within our budget, and at the best quality. You will direct and coordinate the activities of a global team, and build trust and maintain relationships with your partners.

You will be part of EA’s Customer Experience organization. The Customer Experience organization strives to make EA known for taking care of its players. We’re players taking care of players and people talking to people – whenever, wherever, and however they need us. The Project Manager will be a team leader, working with multiple teams across Customer Experience and IT including Programs, Production Support, Game Studios, User Acceptance testing (UAT), and any other team or person involved in the RAPID decision-making process. On a typical day you might see you reviewing project requirements, identifying tasks, assigning and coordinating resources, creating and tracking project schedules, and providing status reports to leadership staff.

So how do Project Managers promote successful customer experience projects? They:

  • have hands-on project management of essential business and technology programs, from initiation through closure - projects will range from small to complex
  • validate and create project budget and manage budget throughout the project lifecycle
  • manage components of the Agile framework and facilitate scrum ceremonies
  • identify and manage issues and risks
  • create project change requests
  • identify the operational impact and create the Operational Readiness Plan
  • facilitate BRD reviews and approval
  • set and manage partner expectations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring resolution of issues
  • develop and maintain project plans and track progress to plan
  • create detailed work plans that identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete projects
  • develop a schedule for each project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • review project plans with management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise to ensure project success criteria is met
  • communicate regular project status reports to project teams, PMO, leadership staff
  • manage the knowledge transfer from project team to support teams and ensure solutions are stable and supportable
  • conduct project retrospective reviews and project closures
  • build great working relationships within Customer Experience teams and IT community
  • build understanding of domain area to manage projects more effectively

If you’re interested in this role, you’ll need these skills or experiences:

  • 7+ years project management experience, with preference given for PMP certified candidates
  • bachelor’s degree; technical or engineering background
  • experience with JaaS, Confluence, Google Docs, and project management (PPM) software such as Planview or Hive
  • excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple concurrent projects
  • working knowledge of the software development lifecycle; agile and waterfall project management experience
  • scope and propose the work needed for new engagements
  • experience in planning and delivering cost-effective results
  • flexibility and adaptability to changing business models and organization structures
  • communicate technical issues back to partners and leadership
  • professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
