Reports to Sr. Director & Commissioner - Apex Legends Competitive Gaming

We are building a global team to strategically guide competitive gaming for Apex Legends. We are looking for passionate, individuals with the imagination to innovate and lead in the industry. Together we will inspire the world to play competitively and make stars of all our players.

An essential part of the team is the Sr. Manager of League Operations. You’ll lead key projects that will shape the success of Apex Legends competitive gaming. Your collaborative mindset will help build partnerships both internally and externally to ensure that all tournaments run smoothly. You’ll join a tightly integrated team that crafts strategies to drive the business forward by focusing on what excites our players and inspires engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Design the competitive structures to increase year-round engagement and monetization
  • Provide outstanding online and live competitions by partnering with 3rd party production teams to create an unforgettable live event experience for our professional competitors and spectators
  • Work with internal and external partners to support online and live competition with detailed roadmaps, in-game functionality, and operation plans
  • Monitor, determine, and surface internal and industry insights and best practices to inform the strategic approach and competition management
  • Oversee the development of the competitive ruleset and player discipline
  • Collaborate on the further development of the informational website
  • Foster collaborative relationships with our teams, such as Marketing, Global Analytics, Legal, Events, Competitive Gaming Operations, Asia Competitive Gaming, and Web

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience leading excellent eSports programs to bring demonstrable engagement and monetization returns. 
  • Proven track record in defining eSports strategies, in designing compelling tournament programs, and in building strong partnerships.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; with an ability to motivate partners across multiple disciplines and at all levels.
  • Dynamic and able to adapt to changing goals and objectives. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize
  • Ability to work on call, work on weekends, and travel internationally

  • Fluency in more than 1 language
