The Challenge Ahead

We are looking for an experienced person to provide daily team leadership within our Dice Operations team. Success for the Development Director (DD) arises from a healthy partnership with Producers, Technical Directors and other production roles within DICE and EA as well as a real passion for continuously improving our practices, work environment and culture.

What a Development Director does at DICE Operations

You will manage the planning of time, resources and organization for your areas of responsibility throughout the whole product cycle. Furthermore, you will guide decision- making with your team by presenting practical and creative options to solve resourcing and delivery challenges. In tracking and reporting progress you are not just satisfied with task completion but require a push for quality.

As a DD in DICE Operations, you will also be a leader of team culture and engagement – finding the right balance between delivering excellent products and caring for our team’s health and culture.

As the next great Development Director

We believe you possess the following:

• 5+ years project management experience – preferably in the tech industry
• Some years of leadership experience and a desire to lead
• Experience in success through mediation and conflict resolution
• Comfort in communicating across all levels of an organisation
• Ability to motivate, encourage and inspire a team 

We believe that you are comfortable and have experience working with:

• Agile development, using Scrum/Kanban/Lean
• Project development with emphasis on team empowerment
• Risk analysis and mitigation techniques
• Budgeting and resource planning
• Project management software and tools, e.g. Jira, HanSoft.
