The Challenge Ahead:

The Marcom Activation Associate is a direct contributor to the development and measurement of multi-channel, consumer-facing marketing activations, with a focus on maximizing digital marketing channel opportunities across sports industry channels.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute holistic, creative, multi-channel digital marketing activation plans across sports industry channels in service of EA’s global marketing campaign goals. Channels include sports talents, leagues, clubs and top sports brands
  • Plan consumer journeys from sports industry channels through to engagement with EA content and digital channels to promote consideration and acquisition
  • Represent EA from the marketing activation perspective working closely with digital agencies and partner digital marketing teams across sports industry
  • Manage relevant digital marketing activation budget
  • Work with EA Business Affairs contributing to sustaining high-quality and professional relationship with sports industry partners
  • Manage external agencies contracted to activate with sports industry partners
  • Track and interprets partner activation performance data delivered by GAI and translates into actions
  • Report to Senior Marcom Activation Manager

Deliverables

  • Activation Roadmap: Oversee creation of marketing activation plans for sports industry digital channels, aligning to EA’s marketing strategies.
  • Seamless Player Journeys: Create cohesive player journeys from external channels to EA owned digital channels.
  • Activation: Build new approaches and build creative digital marketing programs that maximize sports industry channels to promote awareness, consideration and acquisition of EA products.
  • Campaign Measurement: Measure and qualify success metrics and prepare performance reports.
  • Campaign Retrospective: Establish hypotheses, test and learn, to develop insights and inform future optimization and activations.

Required skills

  • Multichannel Marketing Expertise: Experience producing multi-channel digital sports marketing campaigns that improve brand awareness, product consideration and acquisition using digital content, web, social and email
  • Sports Industry Expertise: practical knowledge of sports industry trends, established processes and sports calendars
  • Communication: Ability to coherently integrate multi-channel marketing programs from external channels into the holistic marketing activation plan. Express clear, inspirational player journeys from external channels to EA owned channels. Effective at collaborating with multiple levels within an organization including peers and Director level and above.
  • Innovation: Create new approaches and solutions to challenges. Positively question current thinking.

  • Accountability: Prepare a road map for activation success on external marketing channels; keep progress on track.

Requirements

  • Junior marketer with 1+ years of experience creating digital marketing campaigns
  • Excel at establishing and fostering external relationships with sports industry partners and associated brands
  • Experience creating fresh digital marketing programs, accountable from ideation to execution
  • Expert knowledge of overall social media landscape and ability to measure performance across digital channels, providing applicable metrics and ensuring efficacy of programs
  • Use data to improve marketing performance across external digital channels
  • Excel at working in a matrixed team environment characterized by interdependency
  • Create successful digital marketing campaign outcomes based on business goals and strategies
  • Flexible and dynamic to changing goals
  • Understand evolving consumer engagement and channel opportunities
  • Passion for sports and football
