The Challenge Ahead:

The Telecom Expense Manager position is primarily responsible for supporting the management of the company's fixed telecom inventory, which includes but is not limited to inventory management (full life-cycle), oversight of procurement processes, development of analytical reports and internal customer support. This position also supports the invoice management, dispute resolution and product / service optimization efforts. You will also assist in contract and rate compliance, policy development and related projects.

 

What a Telecom Expense Manager does at EA:

• Assist in sourcing EA global TEM package including requirements gathering and vendor evaluation
• Manage and operate EA global TEM software package
• Cost forecasting and monthly reporting
• Continuously audit spending to eliminate vendor billing errors and identify savings opportunities
• Creation of Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders
• Receipting of Service against Purchase Orders
• Verify orders have been provisioned accurately and completed by carriers, and follow through on billing starts and stops, along with tracking through internal procurement system
• Analyze actual versus budget variance and provide accurate commentary
• Work directly with carrier partner representatives to resolve outstanding issues in a timely and accurate manner
• Partner with finance and purchasing organization to develop timely and accurate inventory and activity reporting
• Documentation of Telecom Expense Management operational processes
• Manage relationships and accounts with EA telecoms vendors

 

The next great EA Telecom Expense Manager also needs:

• 7+ years professional experience in telecommunications administration services
• Previous experience with TEM software is required, preferably Sakon, Calero or Asignet
• Full lifecycle experience of telecom expense management process
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, macros, v-lookups)
• Working knowledge of the telecom industry & understanding of technologies and acronyms
• Experience with service provider portals such as CenturyLink & Verizon
• Experience of Oracle E-Business Suite
• Knowledge of procedures for invoice management and accounts payable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision
