EA Seattle is looking for a Unity VFX Artist to join our successful and talented team.

The Role

In this position, you will play the critical role of Unity VFX Artist; helping the team create energetic, functional, and performant visual effects for our games  The team is looking for a creative, self-directed individual who’s passionate about achieving high-quality results with optimized and performant solutions. Join us in crafting the most delightful experience possible for our players!

What You’ll Do

• Will work closely with our artists and designers to author a wide variety of VFX that work best for our gameplay.
• Create a mix of hand drawn and procedural VFX utilizing Unity’s Shuriken particle system and in-house tools
• Assist outsourcers with authoring additional VFX by providing feedback and direction.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficient in Unity, Adobe Photoshop, and Maya
• Unity Implementation / Unity’s Shuriken particle system
• VFX animation skills (Blend of 2D and 3D)
• A passion for playing and making awesome games!

Pluses

• Lighting
• Proficiency in After Effects and/or other animation software
• Illustration and 3D modeling skills
• Experience in working with a cartoony style
