POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a key contributor to the tax team, based in Redwood Shores, California, reporting to the Senior Tax Director, M&A and International Tax.  In this role, the International Tax Director will perform a variety of functions primarily relating to International Tax and M&A.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze international and local country tax planning around all aspects of EA’s business, including identification of issues, proper structuring of effective and tax-efficient strategies, and driving implementation of solutions.
  • Support M&A projects, including tax due diligence, review of purchase agreements, and post-acquisition integration and compliance.
  • Review, prepare, and manage all aspects of U.S. international income tax compliance for all foreign entities.
  • Review and manage quarterly and annual U.S international income tax provision.
  • Provide quantitative analysis and tax modeling tax planning strategies or initiatives in support of tax compliance and provision.
  • Provide US international tax support to federal tax compliance group, tax controversy team, and cross-function teams (e.g., Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, and Legal).
  • Prepare technical and non-technical tax research and compliance memos.
  • Research and analyze impact of tax legislation and regulatory proposals.
  • Manage outside tax advisors.
  • Ad hoc tax projects as required or as needed.


Education and Technical Requirements:

  • At least 10 to 15 years of international tax and M&A experience, a combination of industry and public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong tax technical knowledge in the areas of US International tax and M&A, as well as transfer pricing.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and managing international tax strategies.
  • Proven M&A experience, including due diligence, tax planning, and subsequent integration.
  • Strong technical skills and experience in financial reporting and US GAAP accounting principles for international tax matters.
  • Excellent quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and/or OneSource a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, J.D., or equivalent,
  • CPA preferred, MST or LLM a plus.
