Games Analytics, EA Global Analytics and Insights - EA Romania

EA is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Games Analytics team.  This individual will be based in the studio in Bucharest, Romania. 
The right candidate will play a key role in analyzing data to improve the player experience for our Sports titles and consult with Product Marketing Managers, development teams, and finance teams, as well as analytics team members in Vancouver, Orlando, San Francisco, Geneva and Stockholm on reporting, insights, experiments and marketing models.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Receives questions from the business, understands the questions, and determines the data needed to answer them
  • Create fact-based data-driven insights and analyses that influence development decisions and marketing strategies
  • Find new opportunities to explore data to improve the consumer experience, improve the product, drive incremental revenue and/or reduce costs
  • Perform strategic analyses using all available sources of information (internal consumer data, consumer insights, research data, industry sources) to support the decision-making process
  • Work with marketing analytics teams to develop and analyze experiments to increase acquisition through multiple marketing channels and programs
  • Work closely with other EA Analytics teams to define segmentation groupings and life-time value metrics, and build propensity models that predict churn, engagement, and other user behaviors
  • Presents analysis conclusions to business stakeholders in a clear, understandable, and valuable way.
  • Communicates clearly (and as often as needed) with team members and business stakeholders

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Must have:

  • A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences
  • 1 -2 years of relevant hands on experience, preferably in gaming, entertainment, consulting or retail
  • Advanced SQL skills: including extensive experience querying large, complex data sets and strong statistical knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Excel including macros, pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs
  • Experience in data mining, statistical modeling, and data visualization
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Strong English proficiency (both written and verbal)

Nice to have:

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
  • Familiarity with a statistical software package, such as SPSS, R
  • Familiarity with a data visualization software package, e.g., Tableau
  • Experience working with marketing metrics and programs
  • Passion for videogames and/or sports is preferred
