The challenge ahead
We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test for the core Frostbite Stockholm team. You will be part of the Frostbite QA team – reporting into our WWQA organization – for coordinating, organizing, and executing work assigned from the manager, ensuring consistency with process, methodologies, and results. Your primary goal is to achieve a high level of quality for the Frostbite engine through executing and improving upon a quality program of extensive end-to-end tests, integration tests, and release/change management processes.
You will be expected to partner with development and game teams to help improve the test and development processes, and pro-actively provide support as needed – Test Automation, Tool Development, Integration Support and Risk Analysis. You will become a driver of the quality process and an expert of the Frostbite engine with all its associated in-house and 3rd party tools.
What skills does Frostbite/WWQA look for?
· Experience of delivering tools using C# and C++ to help improve quality practices.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively with team members on a common code base.
· Great communication skills to be able to work with different team members and cells; to be able to communicate progress and results and participate effectively in technical and project discussions.
· Passion for well-architected software and quality verification
· The ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change (i.e. project, team, business-level)
· Expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between.
· Understanding of mechanics, maths and numerical methods.
· Experience of Agile (Scrum) project management and software development methodology
