Position Title: Producer I

External Description:

The Technical Producer in Dice Operations is a vital role, you navigate the connection between game teams and the Dice Operations team. It’s a Technical and Production focused role, you are responsible for the features we build in Dice Operations and having the vision of where we want to take the feature set moving forward. You have a technical background or strong understanding, and can break down technical components and make decisions on ‘what’ and ‘how’. You bring a strong dynamic to the team and empower others to succeed. You have the ability to understand technical challenges and come with creative solutions to solve them.

 

You will turn high-level project objectives into a comprehensive set of requirements by collaborating with various business owners from multiple disciplines

 

High Level Responsibilities

  • Own the Feature Roadmap, backlog, and drive the vision and execution of a feature
  • Drive the vision of Dice Ops engineering team, in collaboration with the Studio leadership.
  • Own the game team and partner relationship, including regular reporting or other communication.
  • Ability to understand tech trends, see how they impact your roadmap, and how they drive innovation
  • Set priorities for the team, use your technical skills to improve prioritization and planning
  • Game Team reporting and comms
  • Be the ambassador for The Dice Operations engineering bench
  • Partner with the Lead Development Director
    • Development goal setting and beat planning
    • Sprint management oversight
    • Game team/partner management as it relates to work in flight
    • Road map planning (timeline, scope, etc)
  •  Gate preparation work for the game teams (, feature work commitments, reviews, etc
    • Works with technical leads to formulate, drive, and maintain the development schedule
    • Seeks out dependencies, issues, and potential development roadblocks and works to find and execute solutions
  • Supports the Lead DD in a variety of development & tech-related tasks
    • Establishes and drives processes and solutions to improve efficiency and communication within the technical group (and with the studio as a whole)
    • Works with the Lead DD to establish and communicate goals, plans, milestone schedules and studio objectives
    • Coordinates, facilitates, tracks, and reports on external game-related development from publisher provided resources and external vendors

 

Skills Required

  • 5+ years of production experience
  • 3+ years of technical-related project management experience
  • 3+ years professional game development experience
  • Experience building, maintaining, and tracking schedules and plans
  • Experience with Agile and SCRUM project management methodology
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Practical knowledge in platform, programming, and cloud-based technologies
