EA Asia is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Director of Demand Planning, with a proven track record of success and achievement. At EA, you will join a growing team that is shaping the future of interactive entertainment.

Reporting to the Vice President of Asia Publishing, you will be responsible for developing the Asia demand planning strategy and execution, working closely with the finance, game analytics, development, marketing, and Live operation teams. The right candidate will be able to drive detailed analysis across multiple industry leading mobile and PC Online games.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Lead game revenue forecasts supported with fact-based data-driven insights and analysis on both mobile titles and PC Online.
  • Develop and maintain forecast models for multiple products, working with game analysts, producers, marketing, and finance.
  • Recommend improvements to existing data structure and forecast methodologies.
  • Publish, design and implement reporting solutions from data acquisition to final presentation targeted towards sales, finance and executive management.
  • Apply quantitative analysis, web scraping, and data / text mining to deliver market and product insights and to expose hidden correlations between game features and sales.
  • Forecast market and product trends to help investment decisions, performance benchmarking, and business planning.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to drive high-level conversations on the mobile/Online strategy and product plans.
  • Serve as the Asia industry subject matter expert to other EA teams; support leadership team to answer one-off questions.
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to update the management team on product performance and market trends.
  • Partner with BI and reporting teams to develop requirements for dashboards, data cubes, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Work with key stakeholders and publishing partners in Asia to evaluate ROI for new products, marketing strategies and other initiatives.
  • Define and improve upon the process to prepare monthly revenue forecasts on both new and existing mobile & online games.
  • Attend product review meetings to update forecasts based on the latest developments.
  • Track performance and forecasts against plan, generating reports on key risks and opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively to provide transparency in methodology and results to cross functional partners (Studio Teams, Finance, Biz Ops).
  • Support the sales, marketing, finance and studio teams with real-time analysis and recommendations.
  • Build the financial and business cases for new opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of relevant hands on experience, preferably in mobile, Online gaming, consulting or entertainment
  • Excellent Excel skills: including macros, pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL with experience writing queries for large, complex data sets
  • Familiarity with a data visualization software package (e.g., Tableau)
  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Oracle Hyperion)
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • A. or B.S. in Business Management, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science – Master’s Degree a plus
  • Passion for videogames with an understanding of the Asia Online and Mobile gaming space is preferred
