The Opportunity Ahead:

As Advanced Data Analyst you will lead the Tech Pillar of the Quality Verification and Standards Analytics team based in Vancouver. The purpose of the role is to enable technical initiatives, deliver Analytics tools and technology, partner across teams to support QVS and EA wide data practices, sources and analysis.

You will provide guidance and expertise to a team of Data and Business Analysts setting the standards of data delivery, data analysis and data management within our business.

The challenge ahead is to create a culture of data informed decisions within the different business units, building and rolling out the Analytics Strategic Plan. You should be a sharp, curious, and analytical individual who has a real passion for diving into data to solve business problems. Your insights will influence how we build and verify the quality of our games. 

What the Advanced Data Analyst does at EA:

  • Technical Strategic Plan & Road Map roll out
  • Lead and supervise the creation of a data framework and infrastructure in QVS
  • Engages in communication with internal and external partners within EA.
  • Research and roll-out Tools and Technology planning & engagement
  • Facilitate efficiencies and tactical technology / DTS /GAI /EADP / DEV
  • Productize support & architecture
  • Enable data architecture best practices
  • Mentor and coach technical resources across disciplines

 

Our next Advanced Data Analyst needs:

Experience: 

  • 6 - 8 years of validated industry experience

 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, etc.) and/or successful completion of post-secondary level Math and Statistics courses. 

 Skills 

  • Extraordinary problem solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to initiate and maintain close collaborative partnerships with coworkers and business partners. 
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and look for new problems to solve and new concepts to implement. 
  • Very good foundation of math and statistical knowledge including an understanding of probability, correlation, regression, classification, and the development of statistical models. 
  • Quick learner with an innate desire to continually learn, adapt, and develop abilities. 
  • Skillful communicator who is not afraid to ask questions and brings new insights to light. 
  • Teamwork in working with business clients and working in a larger team environment. 
  • Can establish a sense of urgency and prioritize effectively to manage multiple tasks. 
  • Able to work independently and drive for solutions with all business partners. 

 

The following would be considered an asset for this role:

  • Professional experience in technology evaluation, assessment and roadmap development
  • Researches and advises on what tools and methodologies to use for solving specific issues.
  • Previous working experience in a consulting-like environment
  • Experience in creating reports and dashboards using data visualization software packages (eg. PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Domain knowledge in data manipulation, processing, and reporting
  • Domain knowledge in QA and software development testing principles
  • Able to define the scope of a medium complexity analysis project and identify various work components of the analysis project.
  • Proactively sets processes/develops an environment to ensure that problems are quickly identified and are tracked through resolution.
  • Hiring/Onboarding, mentorship, knowledge transfer, does performance/talent management and career development of direct reports.
