Frontend Software Engineer for Electronic Arts Finland

The Electronic Arts’ Tracktwenty Studio in Helsinki, Finland is looking for new accomplished people to join us. Tracktwenty is the developer of the hugely successful mobile title SimCity BuildIt. To date SimCity BuildIt has been played by more than 200 million gamers around the world and received multiple awards like the Best of Apple 2015. Now the studio is working on a new exciting title. Role Overview

We’re looking for a dedicated Frontend Software Engineer who will succeed in an ever evolving Live Service Environment. As a Frontend Software Engineer within the Tracktwenty Studio you’ll be part of an experienced team on designing, building and deploying server-side tools for connected functionality for games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for frontend software development for mobile game live service and dev tools.
  • You will collaborate with other engineers to integrate these systems and services.
  • You will collaborate with live service and game dev teams on defining the software requirements.
  • Take ownership of large features from conception to delivery.
  • Testing, debugging and support of all code written.
  • Understanding of professional software development methodologies, QA and testing approaches.
  • Operates and delivers in a high traffic environment to meet high quality standards.
  • Demonstrates an inquisitive nature and desire to grow professionally.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of frontend programming languages with fluency in JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
  • Experience developing with Vue.js or other JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with RESTful Web services.
  • Knowledge of source code management in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in Java, Node.js, npm, WebPack, CSS, Python, C++ and C# all plusses.
  • Experience using automated testing, unit testing, or Configuration Management processes.
  • UX first mindset – usability of tools is as important as the technical aspect.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
