Position Title: Software Engineer III

External Description:

At Electronic Arts we take the quality of our software very seriously. The Quality Verification group is comprised of quality analysts and software engineers who specialize in advanced test automation tools and techniques. Their work allows us to take the testing of our games to the next level and truly scale our testing to the demands of the millions of players who enjoy them.

In recent years we have pushed the envelope in test automation by developing and deploying agents that can play our games. We are now able to have fully automated multi-player test cases for games like Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield V with bots that play the game autonomously. We are now ready to expand this effort across other titles, as such we are looking for a senior software engineer with 5+ years of experience in game AI development who can join our team. The field of AI driven testing is still new at EA and given its potential, there is a lot of creative work that can be applied to this field.

What skills do we look for?

  • MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of C++.
  • Extensive experience of game development — focused on AI and gameplay.

Some good to haves:

  • Knowledge of automated testing systems and techniques.
  • Experience with machine learning based techniques for AI.
  • Proven track record shipping game AI.
  • The ability to take ideas from scientific papers on machine learning and computer science subjects, and prototype and evaluate these ideas.

We love to brag about our great perks like comprehensive health and benefit packages, tuition reimbursement, RRSP company match and, of course, many other perks! And since we realize it takes world-class people to make world-class games, we offer great compensation packages and a culture that is powered by creativity and individuality.  We value our employees’ personal lives.
