Position Title: Senior Analyst

Analyst, PopCap

PopCap is one of EA’s most distinguished and unique brands. Data is at the core of our decision making at EA and in this role, you would be a key influencer in shaping the future of our Plants Vs Zombies mobile titles.

As an Analyst on PopCap, you will work with producers, product managers, and designers to impact game features and events, and provide predictive insights on possible features for the game. You will own all quantitative measures, including game health, and provide actionable insights at a fast cadence. Analysts are also the voice of the player, tasked with using player behavioral data to build out player journeys bring areas of concern to the producers. At PopCap, you will be working on pre-launch preparation for new games as well as supporting live-service titles already enjoyed by millions;

Your will need to holistically understand the state of the game, see areas of exploration, and use your quantitative skills to turn data into insights. This requires excellent communication skills with your design and product colleagues. You’ll take feedback from your internal customers and turn that into actionable solutions.

Basic/required skills and experience:

  • 2 years of relevant, corporate/industry experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or similar
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of game data using ETL technologies and methods
  • Technical skills with SQL/HQl, Python/R and data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Comfortable working with business stakeholders to interpret requirements and present findings

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience in the gaming, entertainment, or media industries
  • Graduate degree in statistics, data science, mathematics, or similar
