The Engagement Specialist works closely with cross-functional partners and game teams to identify, enable, and optimize personalized messaging use cases. This primarily includes capturing best practices, defining and maintaining operational frameworks, and identifying resource challenges.  The role is expected to assist in the management of projects from initiation through to completion, drive project outcomes, and deliver on agreed upon requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who has a passion for digital transformation and enjoys driving large-scale change. The candidate will be joining a vibrant, growing team who care deeply about EA players, gaming experiences and each other’s growth. This role will be based at EA’s global headquarters located in Redwood Shores, California.

About the Team:

The Dynamic Messaging team’s primary goal is to motivate players to engage with EA games by delivering content against key moments in the player’s journey. The team focuses on leveraging behavioral and transactional data, as well as automation tools to deliver the right message at the right time, at scale. To this end, we develop enterprise-wide solutions that use automation and data to power new ways of enhancing the player experience within and outside of our games.

Responsibilities:

  • Scale the use of algorithmically driven automation in enhancing player-facing experiences across channels, specifically in-game messaging, email, web and SMS/push notifications
  • Assess needs and use cases, quickly design impactful and creative solutions, measure results, and iterate and improve to drive optimal outcomes
  • Partner with technical experts, automation strategists, and content planners to develop project plans, prioritize resources, identify obstacles, and clearly communicate project status with stakeholders
  • Work closely with analysts and data scientists to capture learnings and create best practices for partners to consider and exercise in future work
  • Collaborate with business, technical and creative partners to ensure timely delivery of projects, communications, and ongoing reporting
  • Pursue opportunities to experiment, drive innovation, unlock efficiencies across established and emerging channels, ensure enhancements provide ongoing insights
  • Proactively manage their own workload, output, and ongoing development of skills
  • Establish and maintain working rhythms, documentation, and processes to lead cross-functional teams
  • Build relationships across geographies, functions, and levels to enable a high-performance, cross-functional team and culture

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of direct experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or digital marketing
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to clearly articulate and document vision and develop implementation plans that partners buy-in to.
  • Experience working directly with Data Scientists, Analysts, Software Engineers, Marketing Strategists, and Project Managers
  • Deep curiosity around digital transformation challenges, matched with a creative and forward-thinking approach to solving them
  • Knows how to build trust among teammates and partners; capably offering solutions in the face of obstacles
  • Passionate about enabling marketing as a service, being an advocate for the consumer and pushing communications to deliver meaningful experiences
  • Experience with managing multiple concurrent projects, prioritize resources, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with presenting data-driven insights
