Sr. Manager, Portfolio Insights

You’ll have a role in developing gaming experiences that players love. You’ll help guide the future of gaming at EA. You’ll represent the voice of players to program and optimize the portfolio of games that EA has to offer. 

The Portfolio Insights Sr. Manager will join the Portfolio Planning team based in Redwood Shores, which is part of the broader Global Analytics and Insights (GAI) organization at EA. GAI is a team of 200+ researchers, analysts and data specialists who help design and improve EA’s gaming experiences for the player.

You will focus on risk modelling of titles in early development and partnering with Studio, Consumer Insights, and Global Brand Management to apply new trends and affinity models to future releases.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop title affinity and game recommendation models for EA’s multiple player cohorts

  • Meet with essential studio and brand marketing leaders to review incubation concepts and assess portfolio fit
  • Conduct competitive analysis and incorporate industry trends to develop specific game recommendations to our EA Partners team and internal studios
  • Support risk-based, pipeline planning forecast process and modelling
  • Support our deal teams in their negotiations for 3rd-party content through valuation analyses and subscriber behavior metrics
  • Connected to ongoing work from Consumer Insights, UXR, Analytics, and other GAI functions. Leverage each team’s strengths and shape a single GAI point of view and strengthen one-team relationship.

Skills / Requirements:

  • Experience with competitive analysis / peer-benchmarking
  • Ability to frame and communicate complex, technical work to non-technical stakeholders
  • 2-5 years of experience in a top management consulting firm, investment bank, private equity, hedge fund, or media/entertainment/tech company in a strategy/business development/analytical role.
  • Interest and knowledge in gaming preferred
  • Familiar with writing, facilitating and presenting analyses.
  • A/B.S degree in Business, Strategy, Economics or related field; Top tier MBA preferred.
