The Engineering Services group is a critical partner of EA game development and Quality Verification teams and a driver for quality and productivity within those teams.

Position Overview:

As part of the team, the particulars of this job opening involves the automated testing farm of console, mobile, and PC devices. A successful candidate will be doing hardware and software setup for consoles and PCs. They will be troubleshooting issues that can occur for the consoles, PCs and their transmitters and also mobiles, and be doing the firmware updates for the consoles and PCs. The analyst will do the inventory in the automation farm, update various online documents and pages, and work closely with other Analysts and SETs on various requests. This requires a responsible person with a natural interest in keeping things organized.

Secondly, the Automation Analyst will handle script executions, deploy scripts into Jenkins and/or BitomatiQE queues after being assigned Script Execution Requests in JIRA. They will debug scripts, if possible, upon encountering errors and create bugs and assign to responsible SET when serious bugs are encountered.

The Automation Analyst hired to this position must be analytical and methodical. Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, are essential in order to document issues and report them to colleagues. These findings can later be shared with a development team on the other side of the world or with a fellow tester sitting right next to them, which makes clear, concise verbal skills a must. IT competence, including the use of e-mails, spreadsheets, presenting tools (PowerPoint) and database packages is also required. Though not necessary, some programming knowledge or experience is desirable.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years experience in software industry
• Excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
• Experience with maintenance on console, mobile, and/or PC devices
• General understanding of test automation
• A strong understanding of testing methodologies
• Organized, analytical and methodical person
• A strong team player.
• Scrum experience is an asset.
• Power BI knowledge and experience is an asset.
