Position Title: Senior IT Specialist I

Who are we?

We are the IT team who supports Respawn Entertainment, a AAA game development studio that was founded in 2010 by former co-founders of Infinity Ward and creators of the multi-billion dollar Call of Duty and Modern Warfare franchises. We shipped Titanfall and Titanfall 2 to critical acclaim, and recently shipped a free-to-play battle royale game in the Titanfall universe, Apex Legends.

We are hiring for the IT team who supports our Star Wars™, Apex Legends, and Super-Secret VR game development teams. And we are looking for a skilled Sr. Infrastructure Engineer who has a passion for automating infrastructure and IT service, and would be excited to be working at the greatest game company in the world.

What skills we need from you

  • Expert level Network design and engineering, route/switch, security, wifi, etc.
  • VMware design and engineering, vSphere, vRealize, vROps, etc
  • Automating the configuration, management, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual devices
  • Previous experience establishing and maintaining common network monitoring & analytics tools & services.
  • Proven experience working with automation tools (Ansible, Automate, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, etc.)
  • Ability to identify and develop additional areas of infrastructure automation to streamline engineering and operations
  • Advance knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Python, PowerShell, Ruby, Go, JavaScript)
  • Experience with common version control software such as Perforce and Git
  • Experience supporting VMware, automating OS installation, virtualization design, OS lifecycle management, diagnostic and performance troubleshooting/profiling
  • Must be able to apply security best practice to network and virtual infrastructures

 

Additional skills, if you got them it would be a plus.

  • Cloud service design and support (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply them towards automation
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and as part of a cross-functional team with the ability to influence others as a senior technical contributor.
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal are required for this role. The ability to present complex ideas in a convincing and understandable manner are a key requirement

Education & Experience

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
