Position Title: Specialist IV, Accounting

External Description:

The Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) Revenue Recognition team has the responsibility for timely and accurate recognition and reporting of revenue and deferred revenue from digital and physical game sales, extra content, subscriptions, advertising and licensing from multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Analyst: will provide support for application of consistent revenue recognition policies and procedures for revenue associated with various digital transactions. These transactions include game sales and related content, and subscriptions.

Specific Duties include:

  • Responsible for analysis to determine estimated offering period for online performance obligation; if applicable, determine the proper accounting rule to apply to the respective performance obligations offering.
    • Prepare monthly & quarterly management reports including revenue analysis and reconciliations.
  • Assist the month-end close activities related to revenue transactions through the revenue recognition system. (RevPro)
    • Support EA’s evolution and expansion of titles -  “Go to Market” (product and service offerings, pricing and sales channels).
  • Develop and document internal controls and processes to meet operational, reporting and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Assist with maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for revenue recognition and participate in SOX testing as needed.
    • Working with the external auditors to ensure Electronic Arts is compliant with the revenue recognition rules and policies as well as provide support for annual audit.
  • Prepare materials for internal and external audit requirements and respond to audit inquiries.
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis to answer business questions and evaluate strategic opportunities.
  • Experience with Hyperion reporting is strongly desired.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Must be customer friendly and focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge required.
