The Challenge Ahead

The EA Digital Platform organization is working on delivering the process, tools, and self service capability to enable EA online service teams to operate in a efficient cloud operating model. This requires providing an industry-leading cloud platform solution that achieves the best experience from development to production operations for our game engineering and other platform teams and the ability to be agile and successful. It enables our operations team to manage and scale a broad set of titles and supporting services with outstanding visibility and operability, while managing costs and addressing security requirements. 

Technical Program Management works with Product and Development teams to chart the course of new cloud engineering capabilities and services as they emerge empowering our studios, platform, and operations teams in high-quality service delivery. Technical Program Managers bring a level of business awareness and ability to translate product vision into tactical delivery. Technical Program Managers are passionate about and represent the voice and needs of our partners: game publishing teams, platform service teams, and technical operations teams. They analyze cloud engineering global requirements and guide those into outstanding solutions that ensure successes. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programs: collaborate across the Cloud Engineering team to operationalize product and platform vision through engineering and on boarding programs. 
  • Project Management: translate vision into tactical prioritized efforts with a roadmap for delivering value proposition, measurable goals, and dependency management.
  • Track engineering planning that results in prioritized delivery, along with development and quality tasks.
  • You will help with quality testing plans to meet acceptance and stress criteria defined by program. 
  • You will participate in change and release management that results zero downtime and zero data loss deployments. 
  • Help identity and track requirements needed for successful engineering delivery. 
  • Learn how data and requirements help guide service management improvements.
  • Understanding how efficient operations for services and platforms contribute to customer and engineering requirements. 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree or working on one in CS, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
  • Understand software development life cycle principles and online services management. 
  • Ideally project experience across component definition, design, engagement, engineering, and service management for highly available online services and platforms. 
  • Familiar with cloud engineering components including: container models, service discovery, monitoring and diagnostic tooling, dev chain tooling.
  • Work with diverse teams and partner across complex organizations.
