ROLE OVERVIEW

Located at our largest studio campus in Vancouver, B.C., the Senior Financial Analyst role reports into the Senior Finance Manager of Strategic Financial Planning (SFP). The role will be responsible for supporting business partners of the Strategic Growth Initiatives (SGI) division as they review different strategic initiatives providing insightful analysis to help inform the decisions being made by our leadership. SGI is at the leading edge for innovative business models that are all propelling EA forward to its next chapter of growth.  The role will also be responsible for core FP&A business partnership with EAX, responsible for our Player Network, digital store fronts and PC/console subscription services and our EA Partners group.

Overall Responsibilities Include:

  • Financial modelling and strategic analysis
  • Model strategic initiatives, business-related projects and scenarios, Corporate Strategy projects, and ad-hoc requests
  • Compile strategic analysis for leaders that is focused on the story (not just data) with clear insights and actionable presentation material
  • Business Partnering, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Build relationships with partners and actively collaborate to work toward a goal
  • Provide deep financial analysis to help leadership understand the current financial situation and provide decision support through different financial processes including close and forecast reporting, weekly R&O’s as well as ad-hoc analysis on different parts of the business.
  • Own the financial forecast and provide insightful analysis to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk / improve performance
  • Partner with the Accounting group to manage Close deliverables, timelines, process and reporting
  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, standardize and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes
  • Challenge status quo and provide alternative solutions

Preferred Experience and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 4 years of related financial experience in a divisional or corporate finance role (FP&A) or similar experience from a Strategy role
  • Experience with complex financial modelling and synthesizing model analysis into reports and other financial information, balancing detail, messaging and visualizations
  • Strong experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
  • Exemplary oral communication and interpersonal skills (cross-functional team environments).
  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint expertise required
