External Description:

The Community Engagement Team connects the voices of EA’s 300+ million players to our global game and strategy teams, facilitating healthy conversations with players and working together to build thriving communities. The NBA LIVE Community Engagement Specialist will work with the player community of one of the longest running sports video game franchises in the world. Reporting directly to the EA SPORTS Community Engagement Team Manager (Tiburon), the specialist will manage community engagement programs that build trust with our players, partner with social content influencers to build visibility for NBA LIVE and oversee multiple direct-to-player communications channels including blogs, Reddit and social channels. Passion is the fuel that drives our teams, and the successful candidate will take a love of basketball - matched with deep NBA LIVE franchise expertise, community management skills and strong social channel expertise - to deepen overall player engagement and sentiment for the franchise. 

 

This position has the following primary responsibilities:

  • Lead studio communication platforms for the development team delivering consistent communication with players.
  • Plan and execute regular feedback meetings with our players to discuss, survey and pressure test DEV concepts and marketing plans.
  • Create appointment-setting branded content series that establishes consistent and transparent source of information to the community on a weekly basis.
  • Report community sentiment and actionable feedback to the Development and MarCom teams on a weekly basis through high level quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Lead NBA LIVE community KPI work, taking metrics and key learnings to ensure marketing content plans perform to the best of its ability.
  • Create a systematic information advisory process to inform development and communication decision making.
  • Oversee the partner strategy for moderation of official channels such as the forums, social media, and/or websites.
  • Maintain a positive community reputation.


Qualifications

  • Passion and Experience playing NBA LIVE and other sports games.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in online communities, social media, journalism, online marketing, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated writing, grammar, and content-creation skills (samples required)
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for operating social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to present new ideas effectively
  • An aggressive, self-motivated, detail-oriented team player and quality driven
  • Has strong problem solving skills. Must be able to keep focus on multiple tasks and effectively set priorities among projects
  • Ability to objectively interpret customer/community feedback and make actionable recommendations
  • Solid understanding of Live Service operations and Development.
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications or Marketing a plus.
