The Challenge Ahead:

We are building EA’s Cloud Gaming system to run at scale. Streaming games over public networks impose a unique challenge in terms of the network. In this role you’ll be dealing with networking and protocol aspects, as well as infrastructure of the game servers.

What a Sr. Software Engineer does within EADP Cloud Gaming Division at EA:

As a Sr. Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop the infrastructure the streaming server and the associated protocols. You’ll deal with unique aspects of Cloud Gaming and video streaming as well as optimizations. You will develop features and capabilities that will take the core technology a step further.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop complex infrastructure and features for the streaming server
  • Apply state-of-the art knowledge to innovate new streaming technologies
  • Analyze and address performance and networking aspects of the system

Required Skills / experience

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science
  • Over 10 years’ experience as software developer with the following expertise:
  • C++ or C#
  • Network protocols: HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, TS, RTSP
  • Deep experience with:
  • Virtual memory and multithreaded development
  • Video streaming
  • Networking
  • Cloud services (preferred)
  • Other:
  • Excellent system and architectural view
  • Ability to develop performance aware code
  • Deep knowledge with OTT streaming challenges
  • Strong debugging skills
  • A passion for state-of-the art gaming experience
