Position Title: Principal Technical Product Manager

Physics & AI

The Physics & AI team is responsible for many of the workflows and technology behind the actual gameplay in many AAA game titles. Hundreds of content creators use the tools every day to define character behavior, make believable animation, define gameplay object behavior, design cloth, hair and destructible assets, set up crowd behaviors, train and execute machine learning networks. The runtime is just as important, providing the features and performance required to competitively realize it all in game.

As a Product Manager you will

  • Define the product vision and roadmap for the Physics & AI area
  • Work with end users to understand their workflows and requirements and represent them towards the Physics & AI team
  • Perform competitive analysis
  • Build and maintain a ranked backlog of end user and stakeholder requirements, team’s own vision and architectural enablers
  • Build and maintain relationships with content creator communities, game team stakeholders and external partners. Promote the Frostbite product
  • Become a member of the Frostbite product management team and help establish and partially own overall Frostbite vision and roadmaps
  • Deeply engage with the Frostbite Physics & AI development team to provide direction and motivation as well as becoming a champion of their ideas
  • Be responsible (dotted line) for the performance of several Agile Product Owners
  • Work with Program Managers, Technical Directors and Team Directors to ensure timely and sustainable delivery of a product that meet business and quality goals

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with designing gameplay through hands-on work and directing teams of content creators
  • Experience with identifying and describing the requirements needed to deliver on design direction, while maintaining content team satisfaction
  • Skilled in listening and understanding the experience of end users and how to capture true user value
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to hear through the noise, understand what is important and get things done
  • Strong business sense
  • Strong communication - written and verbal - skills
  • Ability to work in and actively encourage a dynamic and collaborative team environment
  • Experience using Agile methodologies
  • Culture of continuous learning; the ability and hunger to take on new challenges
  • Demonstrates dependability and commitment to projects/tasks

Bonus Points If You

  • Experience as a Technical Game Designer or similar lead role at a game studio
  • Experience as a Producer at a game studio or elsewhere
  • Have shipped several AAA games
  • Actively enjoy or have been enjoying playing games
  • Experience as a Product Manager
  • Experience in Scrum and SAFe
