What a Senior Quality Analyst does at EA:

As a Senior Quality Analyst, your primary focus will be ensuring the quality of the advertising within our games. Some of the tasks are but not limited to test planning, partner meetings, investigative testing, requirements-based testing, Live verification and ad hoc testing. You will ensure test plans and best practices are shared across teams to improve their testing and processes. Another focus will be understanding the Quality process of several projects, resolving identified gaps, assessment, and prioritization of risks. You’ll be an expert of your product and provide technical solutions to leaders.

You will also collaborate regularly with members of WWCE, Development QA, Certification, 1st party, Production and Development, drafting detailed test plans and test suites and ensuring they are executed efficiently in our supporting execution sites. Additionally, you will be regularly recognizing and accurately setting the severity of issues, helping to prioritize issues in the bug database to expedite bug-fixing efforts. Key to the role is providing feedback on the effectiveness and efficiency of team processes and methodologies and working with onsite and offsite teams to help drive quality in our advertising platforms and campaigns.

Another task that is assigned to all Analysts in AdTech QV is to provide solutions and improvement to ongoing workflows and processes. We are also a learning and development team that emphasises the opportunity of learning or designing tools that allow us to improve our day to day tasks.

Requirements:

• Mobile/HD experience: QA testing or Engineering or equivalent.
• • Knowledge of file/build management per platform
  • Familiarity with various install methods and requirements per platform
  • Device functionality / Basic platform requirement knowledge
  • Understanding of how apps and APIs function
  • Able to capture and read verbose logs
  • Knowledge of file/build management per platform
  • Familiarity with various install methods and requirements per platform
  • Experience in geo-proxying/geo-spoofing

• Charles Proxy expertise or equivalent:
• • Understanding of how network traffic and Ad SDKs function
  • Ability to capture, read, and identify issues within a Charles Log
  • Familiarity with COPPA/GDPR (understanding what they are, and the importance/severity)
  • Ability to perform rewrites and then cross-check that information

• Ability to take ownership of the advertising project and meet responsibilities without supervision
• A self-starter with high level of comfort & enjoyment in both team and individual settings
• Ability to understand complex architecture dependencies with other systems
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify risks and escalate to applicable stakeholders
• Strong observational and analytical skills

• Strong tracking and organizational skills
• Passion to learn new technologies and systems with high degree of ownership
• Ability to be flexible and team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks in fast paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Proficiency with Mobile platforms (Android and iOS)
• Ability to identify root causes and propose viable solutions
• Strong sense of urgency to mitigate risks and potential areas of concern proactively rather than reactively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired:

• Advertising technology testing (Ad Platforms, Ad providers and Ad campaigns)
• HD Experience (Consoles – XONE and PS4):
• • Familiarity with HD functionality
  • Understanding of how to load builds/packages
  • Knowledge of platform requirements
  • Ability to consistently capture content (capture card) and reproduce issues

• Project Management: Certification or professional experience in Software Project Management
• Tools: Knowledge of SQL and Data Analysis tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
• Tools: Knowledge of JIRA and other Atlassian tools
• Tools: Knowledge of Excel – Macros/Pivot tables
• Automation experience:
• • Ability to work directly with game teams to provide faster, more personal, and more efficient support
  • Understanding of automation tools/processes (Appium/Selenium, Espresso, TestDroid, etc)
  • Ability to create/apply simple automation scripts so that basic checks can be run automatically
