Senior Technical Product Manager – Quality Verification Platform


Electronic Arts is looking for a Technical Product Manager for its Quality Verification platform team. We are committed to creating the best verification experiences for our quality and development teams, and are key contributors to EA’s digital transformation. We make use of the latest standards and technology leveraging Frostbite, .NET, Scala, and AWS infrastructure and software services for scalability. The successful candidate will be working as the Senior Technical Product Manager (TPM) on the QV Platform Team responsible for defining, creating, and delivering tools/services that are at the heart of all our Quality Verification on all of EA’s titles. The TPM will be partnering internally with our Product Owners, Technical Directors, and Program Managers, and externally, with the Game teams, QV Directors, QV Project Owners and CDS Business Leaders, throughout the QV Platform development lifecycle.


What you will be doing:

  • Representing the QV Platform to the Game teams, QV Directors, QV Project Owner and CDS Business Leaders.
  • Understand the customers’ QV roadmap, needs, and requirements and communicate it to the QV Platform product owners.
  • Representing the needs of the QV leaders back to the internal team. Helping the internal team understand the why. 
  • Serving as the key conduit between QV Leaders and the QV Platform Technical leaders to include the QV Leaders requirements
  • Partnering with Product Owners and Technical Leads to drive the integrated QV Platform roadmap
  • Driving Product Development from the perspective of the Quality Verification end user
  • Develop new collaborations or development opportunities to use and develop the QV Platform
  • Study the strategic position of the QV Platform products portfolio in comparison to other similar products internal or external (why we should build instead of buy, or use)
  • Define the long-term vision and value proposition of the QV Platform to the QV Leaders
  • Accountable for the roadmap, which illustrates at a high level the business value gain
  • Responsible for communicating release objectives and establishing business value to QV business leaders
  • Accountable for keeping the adoption of the QV Platform plan accurate
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction of the QV Platform. Own CSAT process and actions.
  • Responsible for the ‘marketing’ of the QV Platform to stakeholders and evangelize it
  • Deliver Quarterly newsletter to stakeholders
  • Define Launch Readiness by closely aligning with our partners’ schedules
  • Establish success criteria for each product and stakeholder engagement
  • Establish and track KPI for each engagement and review / report on progress and success
  • Work with PMO on development progress, value realization, learnings, and portfolio reporting
  • Maintain and build on team culture

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • 5-7 years as a Product Owner or as a Product Manager driving Enterprise ready technical solutions using an agile methodology. 
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree that ties to the role, preferably in Computer Science.
  • Creative and flexible in identifying technical solutions to resolve business problems in a rapidly changing, demanding and complex business environment.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to deliver proposals, provide user support and interact with team members and other departments.  
  • Flexible and adaptable, the individual will be open to learning new methodologies, tools, platforms and systems.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive dialogue with business partners to understand their underlying needs and requirements while managing their expectations.
  • Solid partner focus skills to discern underlying client needs and foresee opportunities to enhance level of service and increase solution’s scalability/reusability
  • Strong team focus with a genuine interest in working collaboratively with others, mentoring peers and being open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills
  • An inherently collaborative mindset
  • A sense of humor
