The Capture/Rigging/Animation Content Team is a highly-engaged content creation team within EA Worldwide Studios. Role and responsibilities:
The role of Development Manager (DM) is dynamic and multi-faceted, requiring strong communication skills, great customer service, a solid attention to detail, and have knowledge of how to excel while working with a multitude of internal clients and teams. The DM will work in close collaboration with the other DM/Development Directors, in addition to supporting other department team members and all Artworks clientele. The DM will be responsible for assisting with managing scope and budget for individual projects, working with Art POC’s/development teams to ensure all needs are met to deliver on time and on budget, and help in managing the day to day operations of the team.

• Monitor project communications across email, slack and video calls then verify relevant information is recorded in tracking software and other communication platforms
• Regularly inquire about status of production items and reflect the status in tracking software
• Sit in on calls and take detailed notes on discussion points and outcomes; spread the information effectively
• Assists in admining department capacity plan documents; project scoping/planning; and project change requests across multiple projects
• Ensure projects are within spending limits for time and resources by assisting in keeping reports updated
• Track and triage issues by working with other DM/DD’s in and across departments
• Proactively assesses and mitigates risks, report them to management
• Prioritizes and resolves issues through creative problem solving skills; recognizing and balancing priorities of eliminating the root causes of problems
• Demonstrate/display good customer service and instill that customer satisfaction matters
• Champion adherence to the team’s operational protocol and collaboratively help define it where it’s missing or can be improved
• Help to streamline tracking processes and procedures
• Upon demonstration of ability to own the above items, gradually own the project management of a sub department of production.
 

Requirements
• 2-4 years Project Management, Associate Producer, Project Coordination or equivalent experience
• Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization, especially in a distributed team from different time zones.
• Ability to work with artists and an understanding of the creative process and its impact on business needs.
• Excel skills
• Ability to learn quickly and retain high level of detail
• Positive team based attitude

Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience working in Shotgun Software as a contributor or admin
• Understanding of the 3D animation, motion capture, character rigging and/or character creation pipelines
• Advanced Excel skills in the areas of creating efficient reports from evolving datasets
• Appreciation for games and/or animation
• Understanding of basic project management protocols and methods such as Lifecycle Management
